Media offices of Progressive Socialist Party and Hizbullah Party issued Sunday a statement saying that Hizbullah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah met with PSP leader MP Walid Jumblatt and both discussed the latest situation in Lebanon and the region. The meeting was attended by Hizbullah official Wafic Safa.
Both parties focused on Gaza’s war and condemned the Zionist crimes against Palestinians. They have also stressed that the Palestinian cause must be put above all political differences, expressing their support to Gazans’ resilience and resistance.
The meeting tackled the latest updates in Iraq, mainly the Christians of Mosul who were forced to flee their city by Qaeda-linked extremist group Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS).
On the local level, Jumblatt and Nasrallah discussed the importance of reactivating the cabinet’s work, stressing the urge of electing a new president in order to end the presidential void.
“Security situation was among the topics tackled during the meeting,” the statement added.
In conclusion, both men tackled the bilateral ties between Hizbullah and PSP, whereby they expressed their consent over the good ties and agreed on bolstering them for the sake of the national interest.
